The trail guides visitors through historical parts of the town, pointing out sights that would otherwise remain hidden from the eyes of tourists. There is a shorter version of the route for children with accompanying colouring in book available for free from the ŠKODA Museum or from the information centre in Železná street.

Artistically rendered panels with variable motifs are covered in steel with patina finish. They all feature the figure of the Elegant Man of Mladá Boleslav, which is the name chosen by the town’s residents in an opinion poll. A statue of the Elegant Man is also used as a prize awarded on special occasions by representatives of the town of Mladá Boleslav.

You can start and finish the trail at any of the stops according to your preferences. However, starting from the information centre, where you can receive a map and additional information, is ideal. In this case, you will finish your journey at the bus and train station. Naturally, you can follow the Metal Trail in the opposite direction immediately after arriving in the town.
